depends. if you have one that's double-sided like I do (one side of mine has grill ridges, 1 sde is flat for a griddle), no. the heating element burns the surface coating. if yours is just a griddle, you can. just know that the element will burn whatever side it's touching. I use mine as a grill pan in the oven. I place it on the middle rack, preheat to 450, and "grill" my chicken, kebobs, or whatever just like I would on the BBQ. but you can't use the griddle for pancakes in the oven, but that's why I own skillets.
